GearTooth's founder, Jay Ganz, was looking for branding that had a gritty flavor to convey its roots as a homegrown operation.

Throughout the design development process, we returned again and again to our inspiration: mid-century industrial chemical cans and warning labels.

These beers grace the shelves of Whole Foods and independent bottle shops in the South Bay and Sacramento areas.
I created an innovative label system that leaned into the interests of beer fanatics while adhering to strict government regulations. Custom icons were created to convey each brew's unique flavors while playing off the "warning label" inspiration.
